Welcome!

The premier Yukon edition of Travelers Night Out will be held at The Deck at the High Country Inn on December 15, 2011 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.. This is a no-host bar networking event for tourism industry professionals (and semi-professionals too!). This monthly fun meet up was created to provide a venue for a casual exchange of ideas, catch up with old friends and share with new travel-type people.

We hope to see you there. Remember, there is not an agenda and the drinks are on you!

About Yukon Travelers' Night Out

The third Thursday evening of every month we are hosting Travelers' Night Out at rotating locations. This is a no-host bar event and is open to any one in the industry, from media, design, tour operators, government workers, guides etc. This is a great opportunity to come out and get to know others in our field, share new ideas and have a few laughs. Good business grows from trust and strong relationships! If you happen to rolling through sunny Whitehorse, Yukon, please stop by and meet your fellow travel people!

  1. This is a great idea! See you there!

  2. Looking forward to the first #Yukon travelers night out for tourism industry folks. Yukon #sportfishing industry, lets represent! http://travelersnightout.com/

  3. Sounds like a fine plan! I look forward to catching-up with old friends and meeting new friends and colleagues.

  4. Well, won’t start repeating, just: GREAT idea! So, you’ll see me too.

  5. And just who are you? a dating site under the guise of tourism because you know we’re fun people? The High Country Inn doing clever marketing?
Can’t find anything on this site to explain who is the organisation or individual who’s the party planner!
    Are we being marketed?

    • Hi Aurora,
This site is moderated by me, Marsha from Boréale Biking in Whitehorse. There isn’t a corporate organization behind this idea, nor financial gain. The point is to come out and socialize without an agenda leading the networking. These meet ups are very popular elsewhere and attendees always say they love the meet ups. Tourism types are fun! HCI offered to host our first meet up but it will be rotating each month to different venues in Whitehorse. That information will be updated in the “Where is TNO this month” tab on the site. And if people start dating because of TNO… well, that’s none of my business :) If you have any other questions, please let me know!

  6. Hello Marsha from the Hive on Hoge St.

I just called the Hi Country Inn earlier today and learned they are actually closing for 6 weeks starting Dec 18th for renovations. Will this be happening to close to their shut down date for comfort? ie Staff..food and bevi’s in limited supply? Just wondering if you knew this and have been given the 2 thumbs up !

I am triple booked already for that day so I hope everyone is gentle with me ! I look forward to meeting and greeting everyone on the 15th

    Nancy
    Manager
    the Beez Kneez

    • Hi Nancy,
I am not a representative for the High Country Inn, so if you have any questions about their business, I recommend you contact them directly. They are hosting our first party, and that is all! I have been assured that: “Don’t worry, even the we are closing for renos this month, the quality will still be top notch on the Deck all the way to the 18th.”

      Thanks,
      Marsha

  7. Looking forward to Thursday!

We’ll be going over there after our joint TIA Yukon/YCB/Nakai Theatre Holiday Open House until 7pm….

We can start a convoy from the White Pass Building to the High Country Inn! :-)

    See y’all there!

  9. We at Expedia CruiseShipCenters just hear about this a couple of minutes ago.Several of us would have loved to attend but our staff Christmas wine-and-cheese is tonight at the same time. Have fun anway!!

  10. An inspired idea with great potential – recently ec dev folks have been gathering with benefits of new networking, brainstorming, idea sharing, colleague and network building – it is great. See you on the 19th – thanks Marsha et al
